We’re Sam and Leanne, a couple of 50 something, do it yourselfers (is that a word) who decided to build our dream home instead of buying a sensible condo or retiring quietly like normal people.
Somewhere between blueprint battles and bathroom tile meltdowns, we decided to document the madness….with a touch of magic.
To add to the mayhem, we have our two Sphynx cats:
Freya – The pink-toned, bossy lovebug who believes she is the site manager.
Raven – Our brooding, black-skinned overlord who supervises all construction efforts from a sunny windowsill making sure breaks are filled with pets and snacks.
We believe in sarcasm, strong words, even stronger coffee, spells for patience and laughing through the mess.
